Behind the Scenes Pics at Fair Park, Dallas
A lot of visitors to Dallas (and residents too) don’t know that Fair Park is open year round. You can drive around on streets that are closed off during the State Fair of Texas. As early as two months before the fair, construction workers and trucks arrive on site to start making Fair Park in Dallas into what we know as the Texas state fair. A few weeks ago I drove to the home of the fairgrounds and found my way into a couple of places behind the scenes. I took some fun photos – mostly from inside my car. There really was a lot of construction going on, and even though no one stopped me, I felt it best to stay safe and keep moving.
This year’s State Fair of Texas runs from Friday, September 28th through Sunday, October 21st.
Many of these sights will be familiar – but they look REALLY different without crowds of people around. I hope you enjoy these, and I hope you enjoy the State Fair of Texas this year. It opens Friday, September 28th and runs through Sunday, October 21st. I think this year is going to be the best year ever for enjoying the fair. Check back here, watch for my posts on FunCityStuff.com or follow me on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter for more fun pics and stories about the fair as Opening Day gets closer and throughout the run of the fair.
