See the Sights of Dallas

If you like to look at pretty things, Dallas is a great city to visit. You can walk (or ride or drive) around and see some exceptional art and architecture. From historic sites to modern cultural centers, there's something for everyone.

Let me show you the sights in Dallas. As always, I like to include a story or some history. I prefer quirky places and hidden gems - places that are off the beaten path. I'm always looking for new and unusual public art, so I'll have plenty of that for you. Of course I'll still show you the must-see places you need to go.

You'll see my signature "deeper dives" and "fun facts" and if a place has a story to tell, I'll share that too. Stay tuned, there is so much more to come.!

The Old Red Museum was the main courthouse of Dallas for many decades. Now it has a museum that's all about Dallas as well as a visitors center where you can make plans to see all the sights of Dallas.

Unexpected Art in West Dallas
Unexpected Art in West Dallas

You might think there's not much to find in the way of art in West Dallas. But you'd be wrong. There are more than 20 art studios and at least the same number of murals in the neighborhood along Singleton Blvd near Trinity Groves. From Beckley to Sylvan, and Canada Drive to Fabrication street, there's art along Singleton and tucked into little nooks off of surrounding streets.
